²⁵ Then Jeremiah sung a lament (funeral song) for Josiah, and all the male and female singers have spoken about Josiah in their laments to this day. They made the songs an ordinance in Israel; behold, they are written in the Lamentations.^{(A) 26} Now the rest of the acts of Josiah and his deeds of devotion and godly achievements as written in the Law of the Lord, ²⁷ and his acts, from the first to the last, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
